Berean is all about "Treasuring Christ... Loving People... for God's pleasure and our joy." When we see Jesus Christ as He truly is our hearts respond in awe, praise, trust and submission. In a word--we treasure Him. And when this happens, He empowers us by His Spirit to see people around us as He does and to practically love them so they too can come to treasure Christ with us.

Jesus was asked, "What is the most important commandment?" He replied, "The most important commandment is this... love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. The second is this, love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31)

It is our passion as a church community to see these two commandments become alive in our lives. We gather weekly to express our valuing and treasuring of Jesus Christ and to be filled with His Spirit and encouraged by His Word to then deeply love people in our community.

We are an evangelical church, by which we mean that we emphasize salvation by personal faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ, the authority of scripture and the importance of preaching as contrasted with ritual.
