Life ValuesThe following seven statements summarize our heart convictions about life. 1. God is supreme. 2. Scripture is authoritative. 3. Expanding God's kingdom is vital. 4. Prayer must be pervasive. 5. Relationships must be authentic. 6. Ministry must be relevant and excellent. 7. Families are supported. Our Ministry ValuesWe believe that people who do not personally know Jesus Christ matter to God, and therefore must matter to the church. Luke 5:30-32 We believe in reaching as many people as possible in the Rochester area and around the world with the love of Jesus. Matthew 28:18f We believe that the worship and ministry of the church must be culturally relevant while remaining true to the Bible. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 We believe that God uses the Bible, empowered by His Spirit as the primary catalyst for transforming lives. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 We believe that the primary responsibility of the pastors is to give vision and leadership by equipping Christians to perform the ministry of the church. Ephesians 4:11-12 We believe that God's people, gifted by God and equipped by spiritual leaders, are the greatest human resource of the church. 1 Corinthians 12 We believe the church operates best as a unified, caring community of servants each exercising his or her spiritual gifts and abilities for the benefit of one another. Romans 12:10 We believe loving relationships must permeate every aspect of church life and life change happens best through small groups.
