1. Year-Long Fellowship Groups: The first kind of small group commits to meet for at least one year that meets in homes 2-4 times a month. These groups meet from September - May. Each small group is led by a person/couple who is responsible to shepherd and encourage their group.

2. 8-Week Home Builder Groups: The second kind of small group commits to meet for 8 consecutive weeks in homes. These groups start three different times each year: October-November; January-February; March-April. The focus of these groups is to encourage couples in their marriages and parents in their parenting. Each of these small groups is led by a person/couple who facilitates group discussion.

The curriculum used by these groups is by HomeBuilders. Some of the 8-week studies include: Building Your Marriage, Building Teamwork in Your Marriage; Building Your Mate's Self-Esteem; Growing Together in Christ; Improving Communication in Your Marriage; Making Your Remarriage Last; Mastering Money in Your Marriage; Overcoming Stress in Your Marriage; Resolving Conflict in Your Marriage. There are also groups that focus on parenting. These include: Building Character in Your Children; Establishing Effective Discipline for Your Children; Guiding Your Teenager; Helping Your Children Know God; Improving Your Parenting; Raising Children of Faith.

3. Dinners/Desserts for 5-8: The third kind of small group commits to meet with 5-8 people three times between September and May for either a dinner or dessert. These groups involve the least amount of time and yet they are very important. It is our hope that everyone at Berean commits to participate in the dinners/desserts ministry, even if they are a part of one of the above small groups.

To participate in this, please sign up to either be a host person/couple (responsible to contact several other couples/individuals to meet at least 3 times) or a participate (you want to be invited to be a part of a group, but for whatever reason cannot host a group).
